Vertical Tension Wire Infill Balustrade

  1. THE SYSTEM - Vertical wires are a great alternative to traditional railings. These meet UK Building Regulations where required and are easy to look after.  Suitable for level, ramped and small step areas.
  2. STAINLESS STEELWORK - Our systems come in two grades of stainless steel, 304 grade for internal applications and a 316 marine grade for external applications.
  3. DIAMETER - The round tube comes in two sizes, 42.4mm for a light system and a 48.3mm diameter for a stronger system. The 48mm is generally but not exclusively used for our outdoor projects. (40 x 40mm square box section is also available)
  4. FINISH - The most popular is a brushed satin finish but we recommend a bright polished finish in coastal locations.
  5. TENSION WIRE - Our standard would be a 4mm 316 marine grade version as can be seen in most of our photos. We have a fully equipped rigging shop and as such we can offer different diameters and terminations.
  6. RAILS - Top and bottom rails are essential on this system.
  7. MOUNTING - The most common is a welded base plate with rosette cover for floor, deck mounting. Side mountings in various formats can cater for most situations.

  1. MADE TO MEASURE - All of our systems are of a modular construction and are made to measure. Posts base plates are welded but items such as rail elbows, saddles etc are bonded in place during installation giving a smooth finish.
  2. BUILDING REGULATIONS - We introduced this system after much demand to comply with UK Building Regulations in areas where horizontal wires would not comply.
  3. LOAD RATING -  We have test data available on request for all of our systems. All version meet the  rating requirements for domestic use with some meeting higher ratings for commercial use.
